Atlantic City Administrator Carol Fredericks admits that Jody 
Allesandrine was hired because "he is my friend's husband."

Fredericks further admits that she didn't interview anyone else and 
that Allesendrine was hired at a salary of $ 90,000 for the position of 
Director of Finance.

This is not the cabinet level position, it is another lower position.

This is very problematic because Fredericks knew that Council had 
previously set the cabinet, higher level position at $ 80,000.

Fredericks willfully hired Allesandrine to a lower level position at $ 
10,000 more.

Fredericks was grilled by Councilman George Tibbitt and Bruce Ward at 
tonight's meeting.

Fredericks admitted publicly upon Tibbitt's grilling that she hired a 
friend. The  inflated salary and out of order hiring must be 
investigated.
