Glassboro, NJ, July 31, 2008 – Robins’ Nest Children’s Services announced today that Freeholder Alisa Cooper has joined the Board of Directors.  Freeholder Cooper is a lifelong Atlantic County resident and a music educator in Egg Harbor Township School District.  Miss Cooper is the owner of “Alisa Cooper Orchestras” a music and entertainment agency.

Freeholder Cooper stated, “I am honored to become a member of an agency that has made such a big difference in the lives of so many people.  As a caring society, we must do all we can to provide children with a safe and supportive environment if they are experiencing difficulties in their lives.  Robins' Nest provides a wide range of support and services, and we are very fortunate to have them here in Atlantic County.”

Founded in 1968 Robins' Nest established the first Group Home for girls in the state of New Jersey.  Over their 40 year history the agency has grown into a multi-faceted organization serving over 4800 children in the counties of the southern region.   Robins’ Nest provides solutions to the complex problems of families.  The scope of services includes home-based treatment, family preservation services, permanency services to foster children, primary child abuse prevention, supportive counseling to foster and adoptive families and independent living services.  Currently the agency administers 13 in-home treatment programs in Atlantic County for foster and adoption children and their families.

“Freeholder Cooper has a rich background in pursuing issues that are aimed at improving the well being of children and families and has distinguished herself as a compassionate and respected leader in Southern New Jersey.  Her presence on the Board is further testimony of Robins' Nest commitment to providing an array of services to the residents of Atlantic County,” stated Executive Director Anthony DiFabio.

Robins Nest is committed to doing “Whatever it takes to provide solutions to the problems that cause pain and suffering for children”.   For more information about Robins’ Nest, or to schedule an interview, please contact Kim Wallace, Director of Development at 856-881-8689 x159 or check out our website at www.robinsnestinc.org.
