Dennis Mason files formal petition today to run as an Independant candidate for Mayor of Atlantic City. Mason was accompanied by Steve Layman. Sources advised that Mason turned in between 300-400 signatures. The November field for Mayor will be a crowded one.

Atlantic City update 7:10 p.m. 4,500 total votes cast at the polls. Absentee Ballots are as follows: Aproximately 800 Regular AB's and 542 Messenger Ballots. There is one more Messenger Absentee Ballot dump to come? Earlier AB totals were inaccurate. These figures are firm.

Atlantic City 6th Ward numbers are big. Upwards to 950 votes in the 6th Ward alone. This bodes well for Tibbitt and Tayoun. Small reportedly had large AC Fire Department volunteer effort in the 6th Ward, too.

Source on the scene has reported to me that "First Tuesday" representative comes to near physical blows outside Langford Campaign headquarters. Tensions are mounting as election nears close. First Tuesday is the company that has perfected a computer program/with black berries to manage voter turnout in a very expeditious manner. Langford got the exclusivity for this race. First Tuesday will only work with one campaign per-election. Small thought he had First Tuesday, but lost out to Langford.
